PUMA athlete Joanna Wietrzyk delivered a historic performance at the 2026 CENTR HYROX Phoenix, setting a new Women’s Solo Pro World Record with a blistering time of 56:03. Wietrzyk’s performance lowered the previous record by 20 seconds and secured her third HYROX Major victory of the season, completing a dominant 3/3 sweep across the Majors.
Competing in the Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX, PUMA’s first performance shoe engineered specifically for HYROX racing, Wietrzyk showcased the shoe’s ability to perform across the unique demands of high- intensity racing, combining running and functional training at the elite level.
The event marked a milestone for the sport, taking place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the first ever stadium-based HYROX race in North America.
On her record setting performance, Wietrzyk said:“Racing inside a stadium brought a completely different energy. Everything came together out there, and to set a world record in a moment like this makes it incredibly special.”
The Deviate NITRO™ Elite HYROX, now a two-time world record setting shoe, features a full-coverage, high-traction PUMAGRIP outsole with a specially engineered lug pattern for unrivalled grip, while the reengineered NITROFOAM™ Elite provides elite-level cushioning for maximum energy return.
The first-of-its-kind shoe launches globally on 19 February, available on PUMA.com, in PUMA flagship stores, at HYROX events, on HYROX World, and at selected retailers across North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia.
